Route information
Terrain: Hard-packed trails
All of the courses will take on the notable South Downs Way, which is full of famous climbs and descents. As you run you will take in famous sites such as the Ditchling Beacon - the third highest point of the National Park - and experience panoramic views which are truly breathtaking.
Underfoot you will run along woodland paths, chalk tracks, and farmland trails. This is a great event for those looking to get into trail running, although challenging, it will undoubtedly cultivate a love for the great British outdoors.

How to get there

There will be free parking available at the University of Sussex. This is a 15min walk from the event area. It is recommended by the event organiser to car share where possible, to allow enough car park spaces for everyone.
By Train
The closest railway station is Falmer, which is a quick 10 minute walk to the venue. There are regular services running from London Victoria to Falmer, taking around 1hr 20mins.

All race packs will be collected on the day from registration. Please arrive with enough time to ensure you can register and warm up before the race start.
Age Requirements
Please note that all under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Water & Nutrition stations
This will be a plastic-free event, so please be sure to bring your own reusable bottle or cup.
Plastic-Free Event
Maverick Race is making every effort to make this season 100% plastic-free. For this reason, there will be no plastic cups at this event, so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle with them to refill at the stations located on the route.
Dog Entry
You are welcome to run with your dog at this event for a small fee of £3. We have very limited dog spaces which sell out quickly!
