A tough course with endless rolling hills out and back. Disappointed with water stations using plastic cups and participants dropping gel wrappers - seriously people!

As usual well organised event on closed country lanes. Whilst the course is challenging (hilly) it’s very enjoyable with great scenery. Lots of friendly marshalls on route. Definitely one to do again.

Amazing, challenging course for my 1st half marathon. The organisation was absolutely fantastic and I must give a major thank you to all the volunteers both at the start and finish and over the course, who were organised and really supportive to all the runners. What also made it special were all the local people who turned out on the route to cheer us on, and gave out oranges and jelly babies- it was great to see young people helping and supporting. A truly challenging course, with a LOT of ups and downs! Advice; train more than you think you need! Especially with hill climbs!

Great event in terms of organisation, nice touches such as well signed parking very helpful for visitors to the town. Volunteers and marshals did a great job.Don’t recall seeing a ‘goody bag’ at the finish?I do however remember the showers! Please ask the school to switch the hot water on for next year.Did I enjoy the event? Absolutely.

Very enjoyable, but challenging. A safe course with lots of local support. Organisers please do not place urinals at the start of the portaloo's so that the people queuing have to witness this! You also need a better system for cars/spectators by the finish line. A child nearly got run over.

This was my ninth run here and as always it was a great day. Great course, plenty of hills but no absolute killer. Nice and friendly, fantastic volunteers, closed roads and great support.

My first half and a challenging but enjoyable course - the support experienced through Leigh out and back in is complimented by country lanes and greenery. It is hilly at points but train for hills and it is achievable. The only "better if" suggestion would be something for young children to keep them occupied initially- that would tick the family friendly box for me. Otherwise, first class.

There were not enough volunteers for the event and then ones that were there were not great at motivating the runners. I didn't feel there was enough signs for us runners to again help motivate us through the run. Plastic ups everywhere which was not nice to see or to run past as they were not being picked up!!!! terrible for the environment. A total let down for my first half marathon!!!!!!!

Absolutely love Tonbridge Half. It’s my home town so can’t resist it. Great atmosphere and crowd support and volunteers are outstanding. Excellent organisation. Very challenging hilly course especially near the end when you’re tiring ! A half is a big challenge for me but no doubt I’ll be back next year. Small request that could make s big difference to the environment...please can you introduce paper rather than plastic cups at the water stations so they can be recycled it’s sad to see so much plastic. Thank you very much

Tonbridge half marathon must be a contender for the most beautiful course in England. It runs through the Kentish countryside, with amazing views from gentle hills. Going out and back, you pass through the picturesque village of Leigh where local people hand out cut-up oranges and sweets to help with flagging energy.
