Route information
Full and Half Marathon
Kicking off at Emma Wood State Beach Group Campground runners will head north onto the bike path. The bike path leads you onto HWY-1 beachfront bike path. Runners will stay on the bike path or shoulder (ocean side) along the entire route. At around the 6.55 mile mark, runners will turn back towards the finish line and follow the route back the way you came.
Full marathon participants will complete two loops of this course.
10k Course
Start at Emma Wood State Beach Group Campground head north onto the bike path. Bike path leads you onto HWY-1 beachfront bike path. All runners will stay on the bike path or shoulder (ocean side) of Highway 1 along the route before turning around at the designated turnaround point at approx 3.1 mile mark and back towards the finish line the same way you came out.
Always stay to the right of the path/road during the entire race.
5k Course
Start at Emma Wood State Beach Group Campground then onto the bike path, turn around at the designated turnaround point at approx 1.55 mile mark and back towards the finish line the same way you came out.

800 W. Main Street is the closest address to the start line, the start line is located at the Seaside Wilderness park.
Parking
Parking will be available on the day at the start line for $10 per car per day. Please note there are only approximately 100 spaces available.
Alternatively, at one mile from the start line, the business park near Patagonia at 235 W. Santa Clara ST, Ventura CA 93001 (Corner of West Main ST / South Olive ST) tends to have numerous spaces available. It is approximately 3/4 of a mile from the race start line.
Free Athlete Shuttle
There will be a free shuttle bus running from 5:30 am - 2 pm on the day of the race. This will run backwards and forwards from Promenade park at the corner of Figueroa and Shoreline drive. Please consider carpooling or taking the Free Athlete Shuttle.

Packet Pickup
Race Pack collection will be available the day before the race from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hypercat Cycleworks - 4160 Market ST #13, Ventura CA 93003. Race day collection will be available, but be sure to come early as there may be hundreds of people doing the same.
Team Entry
To enter the event as a team, please select team entry at registration and input your team name. Team members must register individually.
Virtual Runners
Runners can choose to enter the event virtually. All you need to do is complete the race distance on your own, send us your finisher pic and time, the organizer will send you your race day swag.
FAQs
Will there be toilets along the Seaside Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5k - 2023?
Portable toilets will be on the course about every 1.5 miles, free-standing bathrooms at the park.
Can I walk the Seaside Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5k - 2023?
Yes! You'll have 7 hours to finish the marathon, that’s about 15 minutes plus per mile. So walkers are welcome, stroller moms, and walking clubs.
Can I register on the day for the Seaside Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5k - 2023?
No, there will be no on the day registration at this event.
