Route information
This course caters for all looking to hit the trails for the first time or those looking to challenge themselves over a longer distance. The courses are single tracks that traverse gentle rolling hills with some flat and wide sections. There will also be a bit of the course on the pavement too.
All races start from the same point with an easy 1/4-mile downhill section before a quick climb up a single track trail. There will also be a few technical sections with plenty of rocks and roots to negotiate.
All courses will be around Sly Park Lake with lots of picturesque views on offer, each individual course is outlined below.
The 5k A simple out and back course that runs alongside all of the other distances for the first 2.5km which are marked with yellow ribbons. The 10k is an out-and-back course that follows the same hiking trail and is marked with pink ribbons.
The 8.5 miler course makes one complete loop around the lake which is marked with pink ribbons. The Half Marathon follows the same course as the 8.5 milers and runs an extra 4.6 mile out and back path.
The 18 miler makes two complete counterclockwise loops around the lake , marked with a mixture of orange and pink ribbons. The 50k follows the same course as the 18-mile race.

Parking is free at the Event Center.
Directions
From Highway 50, take the Sly Park Rd exit (Exit 60). Go south on Sly Park Rd for about five miles, and turn left on Mormon Emigrant Trail. After passing over a small dam and spillway, there will be two driveways on the left side of the road. Turn into the second driveway leading to the event center and park in the gravel lot. A sign will be posted.

Race registration and check-in will be located inside the event center.
Bag Drop
Runners may leave a drop bag at the event center's start/finish aid station.
Water stations
Water stations will be encountered by runners after running each loop around the lake, it will be located in the front yard of the event center.
Aid stations
There will be two aid stations located on opposite ends of the lake, which all distances other than the 5k will pass at least once. There will be no aid station for the 5k.
Toilets
There will be toilets available at the event center and along the course in the campground areas.
