The Kilgore Half Marathon & 10k

Join us for THE KILGORE HALF, also known as THE RUN FOR THE DEPLOYED, and be part of a heartwarming tradition that honors our service members during the festive season! What started in 2009 when Scott, deployed over Christmas, decided to run a half marathon alone, has now blossomed into a community event that brings runners together for camaraderie and a good cause. From an intimate group of 24 in our first year to braving 11-degree temperatures with 60 runners, we've continued to grow, spreading cheer from Virginia Beach to Oregon, and even across family gatherings in Pennsylvania.

Every stride taken is a step in solidarity with our brave military personnel who can't make it home for the holidays. Remember, there's no registration needed—just come with a dish to share, lace up your running shoes, and flash us your biggest smile!
