This run will probably also be your highest-ever 10km race: at 2400m above sea level, Addis Ababa is the third highest capital in the world. Founded in 2001 by one of Ethiopia's most iconic distance runner's - Haile Gebrselassi - who won the inaugural event.
The race course for this year’s 10km is unchanged from last year. The start/finish takes place In Meskel Square.
With 45,000 participants this is officially the biggest road race in Africa and attracts people from all over the world.
In 2019, the race was the winner of the 'Best International Race' award at the Let's Do This/RW Challenge Awards.
Our race enjoys the world’s best elite field of 500 athletes, 200 women and 300 men.
