Has potential to be a really good 5 or 10k, however there are serious organisational issues with this event. Firstly, the event is not 10k - I only ran 9.8k, and looking at the tracked runs around me on Stava, nobody managed to clock 10k. The route was poorly marshalled and inadequately marked out - I ran the wrong way at one point due to an arrow pointing down the wrong path. My partner ran the 5k and spectated the 10k, and witnessed this happening on several occasions during the 10k - she raised it with event manager, who was argumentative and dismissed the issue. The part of the course that was actually marked out with railings went through a cycle lane with several unmarked trip hazards sticking out in the route. Sadly, I do not think I will be participating in future, and would not recommend.

The course wasn't well marshalled. Myself and the runners around me took the wrong turn in two different places, which caused an issue between 2nd and 3rd female. Only to realise that the first lady finished a minute or two after us, and we had missed an entire section of the course. I ran with four friends, three of them had a distance of 9.8km, my distance was 9.3km and another friend took a wrong turn in a different place and his distance was 10.5km. The organiser was very patronising during our discussions, saying he didn't understand how anyone could get it wrong because there were barriers, arrows and they had sent a map. Well I didn't run through any barriers, there were no arrows and if there were they weren't clear because I wasn't the only one who missed them. Was I expected to run with the map in my pocket? It's not like I wanted to miss half a kilometre of the course. He also insisted it was a 10km course when nobody in our group had run 10km. My friend who did 9.8km said there was a marshall who directed her to turn in the place where we had kept running, so where were they when we were there? Sorry for the rant, I'm not disappointed because of the mix-up with 2nd/3rd but because I didn't appreciate being talked down to and I could have run a good time on a distance closer to 10km.

Enjoyed the start and finish, also very generous food and water offered and plenty to do for waiting friends and family.but not much support around the course, route information could have been briefed at the start, i.e. how many laps, and places to spectate encouraged. Also, wish the medal said 10K - not 5k or 10K. However - I would run it again and recommend.
