Booking was tricky, but the event itself was fun. I thought the 5k was too expensive compared to 10-mile which was competitively priced.

It’s really unmotivating to finish top 3 and not know who is in your race / or for the finish line commentators to not be following key finishers for each distance. Perhaps different colour numbers could help

Course did get a bit boring doing 13 laps and trying to remember how many laps to go was very challenging. Organisation was generally very good. The Marshalls and staff were brilliant- constantly cheering us on. I found conflicting times the race was due to start as emails / websites posted 09:0 and 09:30 as start times for the half marathon. Atmosphere was good as you were never that far from the main area. Other notes - course was a lot more undulating than I expected. It was demoralising constantly getting over taken by other runners doing the shorter distances but the course never got congested as some races get. Unsure if I would do it again as it was a distance to travel and meant a very early start. A slightly later start would have been better for me.

I’ve done other run through events and really enjoyed them. This one was a bit more awkward. I was running a 5k n my husband was running the 10k but the staggered start time meant we couldn’t run together. Having to walk alone through runners on the track to get to start line was confusing. With so many different races taking part I thought it had less atmosphere than other events and it was harder to pace my run. It was still good and the course was challenging just not quite and easy or fun as previous races.

Really well organised and a great atmosphere. It’s a much better event than I expected - it’s not a flat course though, short sharp hills (222m elevation for the half marathon). Was a really great atmosphere and works well.
