Nice Work is pleased to return to the Gravesend Cyclopark with the return of our popular Winter Series.

The series is a unique opportunity to sharpen up your speedwork on those dark winter nights. This tarmac course is floodlit and its undulating nature will offer just enough of a challenge, whilst still allowing for some fast times. Book your entry by the race, in blocks of three or buy a season ticket for all six races.

The races are great for spring marathon training and for a speedwork session, as part of a schedule to complete your first 5K and/or 10K, or for those just looking for a timed and measured run on a weekday winter's night.

The Gravesend Floodlit 10K and 5K Series – Race 6 routes

The 10K and 5K courses use the fast tarmac cycle circuit. The 10K event will cover four laps and the 5K event will be two laps. The route will be clearly marked using directional cones to guide you around the course and at the extremities of the course there will be extra lighting to guide you around the circuit.

The route is an undulating but fast course with a couple of inclines to contend with, along with a long downhill section and covers the tarmac roads using the outer circuit of the Cyclopark.

Runners should be aware that although the majority of the Cyclopark is floodlit, the extremities of the circuit are not. We will be providing additional lighting in these areas; however, you may wish to run with a head torch if you struggle to see in low light.

Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.

If you would like to volunteer to help at any of our events, there are a variety of roles available from marshalling to helping with event set-up. We offer our volunteers a free entry to a future race and, in some cases, expenses are available. If interested, please contact: [email protected]

How do I attach my timing chip?

Your timing chip is incorporated into your race number and should not be removed. Please place the race number on the front of your vest/shirt and not on your leg or back.

How do I attach my race number?

Please attach your race number to the front of your running top or vest using safety pins or clips, securing it on all four corners. Please don’t attach your number to the back of your shirt as it is difficult for our timekeepers and marshals to identify you.
