Route information
This marathon route starts and finishes at the White Heather Hotel. The course starts by takes runners on a 5 mile loop through Kirkbride, Newton Arlosh and back past the start where family and friends will be able to cheer you on and give the encouragement for 21 miles to come. Runners will take to the open roads towards the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beaty. The route takes in as much of the coast as possible, providing some views that stretch far and wide.
There will be aid stations along the route at miles 5.5, 8, 13.4, 17.8, 22.4.

07:15 - 08:40 Registration
08:45 Race safety brief
09:00 Marathon starts
Registration
Runners will need to pick up their race numbers and timing chips from registration before the race between 07:15 and 08:40. Please arrive early enough to account for registration and warm up before the race briefing at 08:45. Registration will be at Race HQ at the White Heather Hotel.
Prize Presentation
30 minutes after the first person has crossed the finish line, there will be a prize presentation.
Age Requirements
All runners must be aged 18 or over to compete in this race.
On Site Facilities
There will be both male and female toilets available. A space will be made available for bag drop. Please note that any items are left at their own risk so please only bring essentials.
Aid Stations
There will be aid stations as approximately miles 5.5, 8, 13.4, 17.8, 22.4. They will supply water, coke and electrolyte in cups. Miles 8 & 17.8 will have bottled water to carry, please discard at the next aid station. Miles 13.4 & 22.4 will also be a special needs stations where you can leave any special requirements i.e. clothing, nutrition etc. These must be clearly mark with name and race number, anything left at these stations will be returned to the race HQ.
Headphones
Only bone conducting headphones are permitted for this event following UKA guidelines.
Results
Results will be available live online approximately 20mins after the start at Timing Up North.
