'Coming along on Friday night was like meeting up with old friends. Then having a delicious feed and a beer was spot on. The route was beautiful, brilliantly marked and a real challenge. The aid stations were so well stocked and super friendly. Then receiving a medal, t-shirt, bottle of beer and more food was a perfect end.'

Oh @eastdevonround, you, your countryside and wonderful people have stolen my heart. Alasdair, Tim and Esme have created a wonderful event with such a great ethos, profits going to charities, caring for the trails and paths, providing a full weekend of fun for me and my family with camping, food, cheer and amazing prizes!

Event HQ: Offwell Village Hall, EX14 9SE.
By Car -The Event HQ is located just off the A35. It is less than 2 miles from Honiton and the A30.
By Train - Honiton has a mainline trainline on the Exeter to London line.
Parking - There is plenty of parking at Event HQ
Camping - There is camping on the playing pitch beside the event, and showers and other amenities are available for use within the village hall.
Camping costs £10 per tent for the weekend.

Cut-Off Times
There is one cut-off at 18:30 at Checkpoint 7 (roughly 44 miles, 70k), at this stage, you will have the option to complete the 'Tim Howarth' route back making the round roughly 53 miles (85k).
To complete the full round within time limits works out at about 3 miles per hour. Transport is provided back from checkpoints if needed. Transport is provided from the finish of the half back to the event HQ.
Age Requirements
Entrants for the Full and Half Round routes must be aged 20 and over to participate. Entrants for the Quarter Round must be aged 17 and over.
Required Kit List for Full & Half Entrants
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Emergency tinfoil blanket and whistle
  • Hat and gloves
  • Headtorch (minimum 100 lumens) plus spare batteries
  • Water carrying capacity (1 litre)
  • Reusable drinking cup
  • Spare warm top (spare means not worn at the start)
  • Mobile phone (fully charged)
  • Enough nutrition to have between aid stations
  • Event map (provided)
  • Tracking fob (provided at registration)
  • A bag drop will be provided at the halfway point (EX24 6RY) for Full Round entrants only. East Devon Half competitors can also have a finisher bag at the same location before transport back to Event HQ

Spectator Info
We encourage spectators and are also happy to have support runners join you for part of your race. We are able to offer meal tickets to spectators and are happy to guide them in where to see you on the course

How old do I have to be to enter the East Devon Round?
All entrants must be 20 and older on race day to enter this event. (17 for the EDR QTR)

If you need to drop out we will arrange for transport to get you back to Event HQ.

Do I have to camp at the East Devon Round?

What happens if I cant run or need to defer?
As runners ourselves we understand that sometimes injuries happen or circumstances change. We try to be as accommodating as possible to allow for transfers and deferrals, depending on timing this may incur a small fee (£20) to cover costs already incurred.
