Route information
Marathon:
The course is a nice mix of historic urban and rural neighborhoods as the race starts in Downtown Providence and heads south towards the East Bay and Barrington, Rhode Island. The tree lined East Bay Bike path provides plenty of shade and scenic views of the Providence river and skyline.
The course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Half Marathon:
The course is a nice mix of historic urban and rural neighborhoods as the race starts in Downtown Providence and heads along the Providence River to India Point Park before heading down tree lined Blackstone Boulevard towards Pawtucket. The course then winds through Pawtucket before heading back down the famous Boulevard and down along the Providence River, and finishing back downtown.
5k:
The 5k course will follow the start and finish of our larger races but enjoy a turn around in beautiful India Point Park. The race will kick off 15 mins after our half marathon at 8:15 am at the same start banner as the rest of the Rhode Races. The course follows Memorial Blvd and South Water St to India Point Park paths before heading back to the finish arch.
Due to USATF restrictions, no baby strollers are allowed on the course and walkers are prohibited from entering.
Aid Stations:
Aid Stations will be available throughout the course. Please review the course maps to see the exact location of all medical and water stops. Port-a-potties will be available at every aid station. Select aid stations will also have vaseline, cramp cream and bandaids.
Marathon: Miles 1.5, 3, 4.5, 5.5, 8, 11.5, 12.5, 15, 15.5, 17, 18.5, 20, 21, 21.5, 23, 24.5
Half Marathon: Miles 1.5, 3.25, 4.5, 6.5, 7.75, 9 and 11.5

EXPO PARKING
Parking will be available at the Rhode Island Convention Center at a $15 day rate. Additional parking is available at the Providence Place Mall and other lots throughout the city for a fee.
Parking on the course is strictly prohibited. Runners are encouraged to park in the Rhode Island Convention Center or the Providence Place Mall parking garage on race day. Both lots are walking distance from the race start and will not be blocked by the race course for those looking to leave while the race is still ongoing.
Event day logistics
Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, May 1st from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 2nd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Providence Rink at 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence, RI.
Packet pick-up will also be available from 6:00 am to 7:45 a.m. on race day, however, this option must be reserved in advance.
