Enjoyed doing my own race but the app didn’t work properly. Disappointed that I haven’t received my medal and T-shirt yet in 2021 it arrived in 4 days all I’ve got so far is a email saying will be in touch soon with the details of when we will get them.

Really enjoyed doing it my way, no pressure on myself. I found the app didn't clock my distance correctly thankfully I had my sports watch with me which was correct so bring something with you as well at the app to record your distance and time. 

I ran in Thailand and it was a very hot month. I ran in 42 degrees and it was hard to get good timing. But I was able to finish in 5.21 hrs.I ran for the 4th time and I have your 4 coins. I won the medal and I won't run again because my entry was sent incorrectly into the app system, but I'm happy that I actually went with the runners in London.Thank you very much

Ran around my neighborhood and did better than I thought and enjoyed it even though there was no cheering crowd. Taught me discipline and patience to finish the race since I have never ran 26.2 miles virtually 

Thus year I didn't enjoy Much as the app did not function well.

Enjoyed much… safety first. Respect crosswalks and stoplights. 

I made my own course and organised my own time due to it being a virtual marathon… not many people were out to cheer me on 😂

Yes!! It was one of the best challenges and the fact I was able to start it just outside my door was great!

Yes, because of the surrounding atmosphere. 

The sights, sounds, runners, crowds, energy and atmosphere are all signs of a dream come true for each individual entrant. On race day, who has it better?

I did the virtual marathon and the app did not work which was stressful

I did the virtual marathon and 1 week on I still do not have my medal .. that’s disappointing.

I did a My Way marathon around my home town … on my own in the early hours of the morning and I loved it! 

Yes’ so much fantastical I am proud I receive a lot of Experience during the exercise

Walked with 5 others around a circuit in Richmond Park south London.A great experience!

Scandalous that we have to wait two weeks for our medal to be delivered. When I did the MyWay race in lockdown it was delivered within 48 hours. What’s the point of being part of the celebrations if I have to wait two weeks to show off the medal. Not good enough. 

TCS London Marathon My Way did give one a sense of accomplishment but is not the fun and excitement of a marathon. Also without a safe designated course and support with aid stations etc. a virtual is much more challenging.

The issues with the app were noticeable but didn’t take away from event. 

The London Marathon is like none other. Fingers crossed I get in next year!! 

The app crashed at 26 miles and didn't record me complete 26.2 miles and finish. Have contacted TCS but still awaiting a reply. Hoping I'll get medal and tshirt. 

Low carbon footprint. Great food and drink supplied by my granddaughter. Good app to keep me going. This is the 4th MYWAY I've done.

Loved the pep talks and questions throughout the event. Well done on creating a great experience

It was my first marathon ever. A lot of fun but also was hard for me, as I have old injuries, so I can't run for long. I did a periods of running with a periods of speed walking. Great experience, definitely will do it again.

It was a great fun day with family able to join me locally 

I loved doing marathon my way but these questions are not relevant. However, I did have an issue with the app working on the day. I did my practice 5km ok but all the app said on the day was “oops something went wrong please try later”. This meant no one could track me via the app 

I couldn't access the app to upload my results so I am seeking help in how to do that manually.  But everything leading upto the event for the virtal was great. 

We all worked as a team from Strode Park Foundation, everyone finished, and no-one went home until we did. AN awesome day.

It was the virtual so the course was quite so not really fair to rate this app was a bit glitchy but wouldn’t put me off doing it again

I enjoyed the virtual participation and the updates and support from the app were good mine didn’t start until after 7 miles and my friend who was also participating was 2 miles ahead of me even though we were together all the way her app froze at 25.7 and I had to do extra to get to 26.2 

The TCS London Marathon My Way option was fantastic, such a great idea!

Split the event into two half’s, ran in the morning with friends, home to fuel & sort my legs out & headed back out in the afternoon……had an amazing 🤩 support crew on the final couple of miles….who helped me celebrate 🥳 at the end

The MyWay can be difficult because you havent got crowds cheering you on. Your on your own, motivating yourself to complete. This is where the real courage comes in. More people should take part using myway and share the brilliant locations and routes around the world. The audio on the app helps massively but could be more frequent.

Wish the official aoo worked, didn't even work on the practice. 

I did like doing the marathon this way. I had more control over everything which was nice. The app failed miserably on me though. Having spent days testing with the Practice 5K it just said "An error has occurred" and "Something went wrong" as I was about to start. Thankfully I got an email the day before saying I could submit my Strava link online as proof but nothing has appeared on the results. Maybe extra processing time is required but there was no information to say please wait X hours for the system to show it. This side (the recording side) needs improving. This all caused me the most anxiety. I don't usually carry a phone and I had low confidence the app would work on race day - turned out I was right to feel this way! But all the bits I did myself went really well. 

Was running the virtual - however the London app crashed the moment I started it with my Strava tracker and told me to re log in.  This requires a lot of fiddling about and when about to start a marathon run is just impossible to do and stick to a schedule so simply used Strava to track my run.

A huge shout out to the volunteers who did an excellent work supporting the runners
