Course was boggier than I'm used to hence 4*. However, it was the best way to start my birthday celebrations.....thk you xx

Course very muddy, narrow in places with faster runners passing slower in the narrow path, barbed wire fencing by the narrow path. One of the officials was not encouraging, whereas others were lovely and kind.

We were told in the app there was ample parking but when we got there half an hour before th eeven the 2 car parks were full and other cars were still trying to com in. There was no signing as to where the start was, and it wasn't visible from the entrance to the leisure centre. Shoud this have been advertised as a 'local only' event? The even description said the course was full tarmac. What a joke! Most of the course was on muddy narrow paths and flooded fields. I do not have a problem running in mud, I'm actually doing a muddy run next month, but I would like to know it beforehand! I was wearing minimal shoes with no grip, no weather protection and no cushioning, as none of them are required when running on tarmac. But then only 20%, maybe 30% of the course was on tarmac, so I had a terrible run slipping in the mud, on the long wet grass and jumping over puddles and sharp gravel. Also, the description saif there were two laps, one would expect two circular laps. But that was not the case, you would go back and forth following almost the same route. So you would have people going in two directions on the same narrow muddy path. But don't worry, if you slip and fall you only fall in the bloody Thames! Terrible experince overall.

Staff were great, all helpful and easy to get to start etc. I thought I was doing more of a pavement route than track… it would have been alright but was so narrow in a lot of places, causing me to slip about as I was dodging out of the way of people lapping me 😆 nothing to be helped about the rain but if I knew I was going through fields I’d have worn my older trainers!

The course description didn't represent the actual course. It was too skinny for 2 way traffic (an out and back course). The organisation was bad. Wouldn't use this company again.

I’ve been doing a 10km event every month this year and this course is at the bottom of my list of events. The course was described as, ‘ The event will track along tarmac pathways for its entirety and have water available at various stages throughout the course’. This was incorrect, as about 40 % of the course was waterlogged grass which turned to mud on the second lap. Additionally, a long stretch was in a tight potholed gravel path which saw runners going both ways…. Not enough room. There was one water stop at the 5km point, but some how I missed it. I won’t be back at this course again.

Well organised. The narrow path where elite and others cross each other was a bit hairy at times. Parking was a bit restricted due to building work.
