Participants have the choice to start their race at 9 am or 11 am. Please note that both waves will end at 3 pm, meaning those in the second wave will have a shorter time limit than those in the first wave.
Race Packs
Race bibs will be collected on the day from registration.
Age Restrictions
All entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Water/Aid Station
There will be a water/aid station at Race HQ, which will be situated at the start and lap point of the route.
Bag Drop
There will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
What to bring
Road Trainers are recommended for this event. However, depending on the weather, trail running shoes may be more appropriate, though they are not essential.
Will the course in The Birthday Run be very hilly?
No, this course is primarily flat with a couple of small inclines.
What qualifies me to run as an affiliated candidate at The Birthday Run?
Participants must be affiliated with a EA/UKA club and have an EA/UKA number to qualify as an affiliated candidate.
Is there a minimum age I have to be to participate in The Birthday Run?
Yes, all participants must be 18 and over.

Im pretty sure everything would have been fabulous but due to unforeseen circumstances I couldnt do it but they transferred my entry to another event immediately and in such short notice......not many events would do that! Worth travelling for a Zig Zag event!
Loved the challenging course, ZigZag team are always encouraging and helpful.
I enjoy the run today .I did half marathon and the organisation is great help full. Marshal are fantastic. The thing is fantastic .
I loved the opportunity to choose an 11am start. The flexibility of the Zig Zag events lengths is fab - so many course distance options because of the cleverly planned lapped route. I will be back for more!
